Create a new pool from the main screen. Enter the total tips collected, then add each team member along with their hours worked. The app will automatically calculate each person’s share.
How do I enter hours for team members?
After creating a pool, add each team member by entering their name and the number of hours they worked during the shift. You can edit hours at any time by selecting a team member’s entry.
Can I export reports?
Yes. Tip Pool allows you to export your pool calculations as a summary. From the pool summary, you can share the report via email, messages, or save it for your records.
What features are included in the Pro upgrade?
The Pro upgrade unlocks additional features such as saved team rosters, historical reports, and advanced export options. Details on Pro features will be available in the app once it launches.
How do I restore my purchase on a new device?
Once the app is live on the App Store or Google Play, you can restore previous purchases through the app’s settings. Make sure you’re signed in with the same account you used for the original purchase.
Does Tip Pool work offline?
Yes. Tip Pool works entirely offline. All calculations happen on your device, so you don’t need an internet connection to create pools, add members, or calculate tip distributions.
Troubleshooting
If you’re experiencing issues with Tip Pool, try these steps:
Restart the app. Close Tip Pool completely and reopen it. This resolves most temporary issues.
Update to the latest version. Make sure you have the most recent version of Tip Pool installed. Updates often include bug fixes and improvements.
Check your device storage. If your device is low on storage, it may affect app performance. Free up space and try again.
Reinstall the app. As a last resort, delete and reinstall Tip Pool. Note that this will remove locally stored data unless you’ve exported it first.
